10-Year Treasury: No Change for the Week Ending 10/17/24, Up 30bp Over the Previous Two Weeks

Over the past week, 10-year Treasury rates remained unchanged. However, the net change over the past two weeks is an increase of 30 bp.

The red line represents the most current rates, while the green line shows rates from one week ago. There has been virtually no change over the week.

For terms of 5+ years, the yield curve now shows a positive shape. As the Federal Reserve lowers its Fed funds rate, short-term rates will decrease, and the yield curve is expected to return to a normal positive slope.
